APF Newsletter 5 July 2007

The Foundation’s Campaign against the ‘Access Card’, spear-headed by Anna Johnston, has been instrumental in informing Parliament, the media and the public about the scheme’s enormous dangers and deficiencies.

The tide has turned, and the project looks like it may be quietly retired. But the Board remains on alert, and ready to resume battle if need be.

Meanwhile, as the pre-election campaigns hot up, the Board is preparing to issue its ‘Election Challenge’ to all Parties likely to be involved in the federal election sometime between now and January, most likely in October or November, many feel.

The document will be sent to all Parties, and placed on the APF web-site together with an invitation for visitors to send it to their local MPs and Senators.

We would appreciate your thoughts and contributions to this campaign, by reply-to this email.
