The fact that the regulators probably run a bigger surveillance operation than Facebook probably means that any regulation they propose does much harm with any good.

The nature of any regulation is critical.  I suggest:
1.  We need disclosure of the whole data-broking-network.  Who feeds who?  How much money they get (internally and all)?  Their contracts.
2.  We need an enshrined right to privacy, recognised by law.
3.  We need a mandated, no surveillance option, at least on the mass &quot;free&quot; services that may be destroying western civilisation.]]></description>
